Batch Cook has no servers. Everything the app knows about your cooking lives on your iPhone, and this page describes exactly what that means.
Your data stays on your device
Your household settings, diet and allergy choices, weekly plans, shopping lists, cooking sessions and fridge are stored in the app's local database and settings on your iPhone. There is no account, no sync and no code path that uploads this data anywhere. Deleting the app erases all of it. “Delete all data” in the app removes your plans, shopping lists, cooking sessions and fridge; your settings stay until you change them or delete the app.
The recipe catalog
Recipes and menus ship inside the app. Browsing them makes no network request, so nobody learns what you plan to cook.
Widget and Lock Screen
The fridge widget reads a small snapshot (dish names, portions left and use-by dates) from a shared container on the same device. The cooking-timer Live Activity shows the next timer. Neither leaves the phone.
Sharing your list
When you share the shopping list it is sent as plain text through the iOS share sheet, only to where you choose. We never see it.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to tell the app whether Premium is active. For this, RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated on your device and the purchase information Apple provides — not your name, your email or anything about your cooking.
Notifications
Timer alerts, use-by reminders and the optional weekly planning reminder are local notifications scheduled on your device. They involve no server and can be turned off in iOS Settings at any time.
Analytics and tracking
Batch Cook contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs and no tracking. We see only the aggregate, anonymised statistics Apple provides to all developers through App Store Connect.
Children
Batch Cook is not directed at children. Because the app collects no personal data and has no accounts, no personal information is collected from anyone.
Your rights
Because nothing is stored outside your device, exercising your data rights is direct: change or delete anything in the app, use “Delete all data” to remove your plans, lists, sessions and fridge, or delete the app to erase everything, settings included. If you have a question about your data, write to us and we will answer promptly.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Batch Cook changes what is stored or where, we will update this page and state the new date above.
