These terms govern your use of the Batch Cook app for iOS (developer name: Batchly). By downloading or using the app you agree to them.
What Batch Cook is
Batch Cook helps you plan and cook several recipes in one session: it scales recipes to your household, builds a shopping list, times the steps around your kitchen and keeps track of the dishes in your fridge. Times and amounts are estimates to help you cook — your own judgement in the kitchen comes first.
Food safety
Use-by dates follow the official home food-safety guidance of your country, counted from cooking (for example USDA in the US: 3 days; FSA in the UK: 2 days, cooked rice 1 day); in other countries the app uses the strictest common rules. Dates, fridge and freezer advice and reheating instructions are not a guarantee. Always check that food is cooked through and reheated until piping hot, store it properly, and throw away anything that looks, smells or tastes wrong. Follow the official food-safety guidance of your country where it differs.
Allergies and diets
Allergy and diet filters work from the ingredients listed in each recipe. Products differ between brands and countries: always read the labels of what you buy. If you have a severe allergy, do not rely on the app alone. Batch Cook is not medical or nutritional advice.
Kitchen safety
Cooking involves heat, knives and hot liquids. Timers and step order are a guide; keep an eye on the stove and the oven, and never leave cooking unattended where that would be unsafe.
Purchases
Premium unlocks every menu and new ones as they come, sessions of up to six recipes, the freezer plan, use-by reminders and the widget. It comes two ways: a one-time purchase that unlocks Premium on your Apple ID for good, or a weekly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store account settings. The one-time purchase does not renew. Both prices are shown side by side in the app before you buy, and Restore Purchases is always available.
What stays free
Starter menus, sessions of up to three recipes, the shopping list, the guided session with timers, the fridge, and every diet and allergy filter stay free. Safety features are never sold.
Your data
Your plans, lists, fridge and settings are stored on your device only. Deleting the app deletes them. Batch Cook has no accounts and no server-side copy, so we cannot restore anything for you — keep your device backed up if you need a copy.
Acceptable use
Batch Cook is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, under the standard Apple licensed-application terms. The recipes and texts in the app may not be copied or republished.
No warranty
Batch Cook is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including from food prepared with it.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The date above shows the current version; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
